Welcome!

Welcome! My name is Jessica Yee, and this week I made the transition from student to teacher candidate. I have been working towards becoming a teacher for the past four years, and in that time I completed my Bachelor of Arts, Honours English with a minor in History at McMaster University. I am currently apart of Brock's Bachelor of Education program, and looking forward to the two years ahead of me. For one of our courses this year we are learning about the importance the digital world has in this generation of learners. One of the concepts we touched on in class this week and will continue to work through is Genius Hour. Genius Hour is a teaching technique where teachers allow students to pick a topic that they are interested in and do thorough research to present to the class.
